Star Trek - The New Voyages

"A recent NPR story reminded me of a group of committed Star Trek fans who have come together to create new episodes of the original Star Trek series.

I have read that the people playing the parts would some day like to play the parts in a new movie. That puzzles me a bit. It seems to me that they are playing the parts already. By bringing together a set, cast, crew, and all of the effects, it seems to me that they have created their own dream and are living it. That is pretty cool. Good for them.

(and for those wanting more episodes of the original series, I think you'll be in for a pleasant surprise.)
