Google wants to be your (pay) Pal

According to Wired:
Internet search leader Google is testing a system that aims to speed purchases online...

Sources claim that Google it isn't aiming at PayPal, but that it is an online purchase system. My bet is that the guessing game will be over in the next two weeks.
